The Beach Hut - Out of the Valley

This old stone fishing hut located on a remote private beach on the rugged south coast of England now serves as a bolt hole for busy city dwellers to escape for a weekend away from people, work and wifi.

The client wanted to add a bit of comfort and upgrade the outdoor compost toilet and cold water outdoor shower. We built a tiny bathroom extension that had to fit precisely into a gap to the rear of the cabin and a new kitchen in 7 weeks. We confronted an array of challenges during this design and build project due to the remoteness of the location and the very short time frame.
